Where Kayumanggi has been, it was outstanding in its presentation of exotic dances.
Pleasant souvenirs and wonderful memories have been its trademark,
not only for the wonderful execution of the repertoire but also for the capacity
of its members to maintain harmonious relationships with the peoples of the world.
Not to forget, Kayumanggi is not only oriented towards promotion of Philippine culture,
but also towards helping out, whenever possible, in raising funds for charitable causes.
In line with this objective, in 1982, with the proceeds of its own show,
Kayumanggi bought medicines, toys and food for the handicapped children
of the Philippines in Gaches Village.
In the following years, in 1984 and 1985, Kayumanggi took the initiative
of organizing the "Filipiniana", in collaboration with a number of Philippine Groups
and Associations in Rome.
On these occasions, funds were donated to an Orphanage in the Philippines,
Hospicio de San Jose; to Caritas of Rome; and, directly to some individual Filipinos
who were in need at that time.
For Kayumanggi, this act is considered to be its most valuable objective.
It is one of the main reasons for its existence.
Kayumanggi, the name chosen for the Company, signifies the true color of the Filipino race.
And for the true color, the Company meant the overall Filipino spirit.
The members mean this and will do its best to live up to it.
